Which means it's time to Parli All Summer with tons of fun and games. Round two is:
"JEOPARDY: Parlimentary-Style"
Join us for the engaging summer games, designed to strengthen your understanding of the rules contained in Robert's Rules of Order In Brief (3rd ed.). This session help members and guests alike test their knowledge on:
The importance of rules ("Why Have Rules?")
What goes on at meetings "(So You're Going to a Meeting")
The basic processes covering voting, nominations, and elections ("Voting and Elections")
The basic types of rule, how they are enforced, and how they can be suspended ("Bylaws and Other Rules, and How to Use Them")
Researching using RONR ("Beyond the Basics")
Roles and reponsibilities of elected and appointed officers ("So You've Been Elected (or Appointed)")
Regular Meetings
The Kanuni Unit meets every month on the 2nd Sunday at 6 pm (CT), with the exception of July, August, and December. Our meetings are held virtually and members and guests are encouraged to join 30 minutes early for our Parliamentary Problem Clinic.
What is the Parliamentary Problem Clinic?
The problem clinic is a brief, interactive session designed to strengthen your parliamentary skills by working through real-life scenarios or challenges you may have encountered in organizational or client meetings. It’s a great opportunity to build confidence, ask questions, and sharpen your understanding of parliamentary procedure in a relaxed, supportive environment.
